as for the jaggies, I didn't render it but instead exported the preview, so its not anti-aliased at all...which may have helped. I actually tried to get rid of the sharp lines and the noise in the center but it didnt really work out =/
Did you export the preview because of choice...or because it's a demo version what won't allow for saving out? You could always experiment with a little gaussian blur over a duplication of the image...

And I can't say that I've seen fractals with a jagged edge along the diagonals like that...it sends a mixed message...
